  • Colombia coach Jose Nestor Pekerman on Friday said he isn't overlooking the importance of the Copa America Centenario third-place game on Saturday against USA.

SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Jose Nestor Pekerman, Colombia coach:

"I say that when a national team gets used to being among the last four and playing the semi-final games, it's always going to be closer to reaching a final and being champion. Therefore, you must not forget that in the semi-finals you play against one of the best four of the tournament. And those games can be won or not on details. It happens to the world's great teams, and it happened to Colombia this time."

SOUNDBITE (Spanish) Jose Nestor Pekerman, Colombia coach:

"We are going to play our sixth game, which is no less important because of all the conclusions that we will draw. We would have liked to play the other, the final, but for us playing six games is going to be important as well as being able to draw the conclusions with the players that we have in this squad."
