  • Andy Murray was taken to five sets again, this time by French wildcard Mathias Bourgue, as he reached the third round of the French Open on Wednesday (25th May), while Nick Kyrgios eased past Igor Sijsling in straight sets.

Andy Murray was on court at Roland Garros for a third day in a row on Wednesday.

And yet again down two sets to one against an outsider.

This time local favourite Mathias Bourgue was causing the No.2 seed a whole host of problems.

Murray looked on course for Round 3 winning the opening set 6-2, however he then lost eight consecutive games in sets two and three.

But Murray used all his experience to overcome the World No.164.

He'll now play Ivo Karlovic who at 37 becomes the oldest player since Jimmy Connors in '91 to reach the 3rd round.

Another Brit, Kyle Edmund, went out in straight sets to John Isner.

Nick Kyrgios recorded a straight sets victory over Igor Sijsling and will play tie of the round against Richard Gasquet next.
