Top tennis players Novak Djokovic and Rafael looked ahead on Monday (2nd May) to competing in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 series Mutua Madrid Masters.

"He's been playing terrific tennis in Monte Carlo and Barcelona undoubtedly, and this is his most preferred surface and he has won so many clay court titles in his life.... you have to always consider him one of the top favourites, no question about it. So, I'm sure he's very motivated and pumped to keep on going and stay on the right track.... but, it's just an opening, I think. Third week of the clay court season and most of the players, top players and really eager to get out on the court and, show their best and I think after Monte Carlo and Barcelona, and the tournaments in the past week, players are starting to get a little bit rhythm, in movements and ball striking, so I'm sure we're going to see some good quality tennis in Madrid."
