  • Li Hao-Tong won the Volvo China Open in Beijing on Sunday (1st May), finishing three shots clear of Felipe Aguilar after a bogey-free, eight-under-par final round of 64.

The final round of the Volvo China Open was brought forward by two hours to avoid the adverse weather forecast for later on Sunday.

The early start didn't catch out China's Li Hao-Tong who made a strong start birdying the 15th and 17th holes.

Possible challenger Lucas Bjerregaard stalled on the front nine leaving Felipe Aguilar to take the battle to Li.

The Chilean was four-under at the turn, however, he found the water at the 16th where he carded a double-bogey five.

Aguilar's mistake left the path clear for Li to claim victory.

The 20-year-old held a three stroke lead heading into the 18th hole, where he two-putted for par and a maiden European Tour win.

Li's bogey-free, eight-under-par 64 equalled the best round of the week and helped him to become the second successive home winner of the China Open after Wu Ashun's triumph in 2015.
