  • Borussia Monchengladbach strolled to a 5-1 victory over Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga on Saturday (6th Febuary).

The Budesliga game of the weekend came from Monchengladbach where the hosts put five past a hapless Werder Bremen side.

Lars Stindl opened the scoring in the 12th minute - tapping home Thorgan Hazard's cross.

Andreas Christensen was the unlikely scorer of 'Gladbach's second goal - the 19-year-old finding the net for the first time since his summer move from Chelsea.

Goals are just like buses, you wait all season for one then two come at once. This was the case for Christensen who doubled his tally in the second half.

Claudio Pizzaro pulled a goal back for Bremen six minutes later from the spot, but the home side restored there three goal advantage with a penalty of their own. Raffael the man to tuck it away.

And Gladback weren't done there, saving their best goal till last.

Havard Nordtveit scored this screamer to condemn Bremen to a 5-1 defeat.
