  • Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak spoke after the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 at Levi Stadium on Sunday (7th February).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gary Kubiak, Denver Broncos head coach (On containing Cam Newton and win)

"We kept him (Cam Newton) for the most part. He got out a few times. But we played great defence all year long, Sal (Reporter). Today was no different. So, we won a lot of football games just like this all year long. We tried to just stay true to who we were and found a way to win another one."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gary Kubiak, Denver Broncos head coach (On Panthers and holding onto lead)

"Oh, they're really good but the game never got away from us. We had the lead the whole time. If we don't turn the ball over, we could have had a two score lead and kept playing. But even at 16-10, we tried to just hang in there and battle and we sent our defence out there probably one too many times, but they held up all night."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Gary Kubiak, Denver Broncos head coach (On play of Peyton Manning)

"Well I think he did fine. He knew he was on a good team and so we weren't going out there to throw it 50 times and do those type of things. He knew that. He hung in there, just kept battling for us. He knew what it would take for us to win this championship."
