  • Super Bowl MVP Von Miller spoke after the Denver Broncos beat the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Super Bowl 50 at Levi Stadium on Sunday (7th February).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Von Miller, Denver Broncos linebacker (On his mindset for Super Bowl)

"We wanted to take advantage of it (playing in the Super Bowl). And I just wanted to be the type of player that influenced my guys, to be to the best of their ability. It wasn't anything about me, or me going out here and making these plays. I wanted to influence guys around me, getting those guys playing at a level they wouldn't normally play it. And that's where my mind was at today."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Von Miller, Denver Broncos linebacker (On his play in Super Bowl and winning the game MVP)

"You know, I definitely visualise success for my team. I really didn't individualise it for me doing this. I wanted to play at a level to influence everybody else around me. It didn't have to do with, I want to get this sack or this or that. I just wanted to play at a high level and influence guys around me."
