The former world number one Lee Westwood was looking to secure his third Indonesian Masters title, as he went into Sunday with a five shot lead over Y.E. Yang.

The Korean star produced a fantastic front nine and managed to cut the lead to one.

But a double bogey at the 13th proved costly as he ended the day tied for fifth at four-under par.

Kalem Richardson of Australia went around the course in a 67 to end the day third overall on six-under par.

Four-time Asian Tour winner Chapchai Nirat of Thailand started the round seven shots off the lead.

But he carded back to back birdies at 14 and 15, and then birdied the par-five 18th to complete a six-under 66, and end the tournament on seven-under overall.

The pressure was on for Westwood after he bogeyed two holes in the front nine.

He appeared to find his stride in the back nine as he birdied three of the first four holes.

However, back-to-back bogeys on 16 and 17 and a failure to hole the winning putt on 18 meant he would face Nirat in a playoff.

Westwood held his nerve on the 18th in the playoff to secure his third Indonesian Masters following his victories in 2011 and 2012.
