(Q: Did that result surprise you considering the changes you made to your team?)
"Well of course, we don't ever come not to win. We had a game plan, but the players need to execute it and I couldn't have asked them to have given me more than they did tonight. There were outstanding in their discipline and the way they can carry the threat all night. The pace in the wide areas is something that is an asset for us. I thought (Gabriel) Obertan was terrific for us tonight."

(Q: Both yourself and Sam Allardyce have managed to turn things around, does this show the benefit of sticking with a manager?)
"It's a difficult question because I am in a position where of course managers don't always get time and we've seen that in the Championship. Some of the decisions in the Championship have been quite frankly a disgrace and I really feel for younger managers. Maybe me and Sam (Allardyce) have a little bit more experience, CV a little bit stronger, gives us a bit more time, maybe. Just with my LMA (League Managers Association) hat on, I think it's important to have a structure of what you're about. We believe in what we do, we have got a lot of young players this time and they are going to take time to settle. We're not as good as we'd like to be, yeah, but we've been terrific the last ten days and I couldn't ask for more."
