"It's ironic I guess that my style is the way that it is. I race as hard as I can all of the time. If I think 75 percent is enough to win I still race 100 percent. That's a big difference between me and a number of other racers. Horses really have the same mentality. They don't play games. They don't run 75 percent. They do everything they can. They run pretty raw. It's an authentic performance every time you see them race. They don't have a lot of posturing. There's no gamesmanship there. They just go out an perform. That's really what I like about the sport and I have learned more and more about the appreciation that fans have for the competition when you see that. If you see somebody who is not doing that then you can see that straight away as a spectator. And I think that is partly why people love watching horses race so much is that really see is a true effort every time. It's a very authentic performance and very authentic effort by the horses. That's something refreshed my opinion of that style of racing and that style of performance."
