West Ham seek to "play the best that we can play" when they host Liverpool on Saturday (20th September).

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sam Allardyce, West Ham manager

"We're still finding out about some of our new players and still trying to make sure that we get the best out of them and that takes time. But you know you only make your own time by getting results. So it was a pleasing result (the 2-2 draw with Hull City) in the end because we came back from behind twice. But ultimately I felt we should have won that game, but we didn't. But we're in a good frame of mind. I think the players always look forward to one of the big boys coming."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Sam Allardyce, West Ham manager

"I know how difficult it can be (after a European game) sometimes the next Premier League game so if we can find any advantage via that (we will). But he (Brendan Rodgers) has assembled a very big squad so whether he plays the same team on Saturday that he played on Tuesday night is something that we have to try and predict because he will have to play those players at some stage or another and because it's after a Champions League game, he may choose that it's against us. So if we can seek any advantage out of that, then that will be fine but from our point of view we have to just make sure that we play the best we can play against Liverpool and if that's good enough to take advantage of their team on the day then that's great."
