Reaction after Liverpool beat Ludogorets Razgrad 2-1 in UEFA Champions League Group B on Tuesday (September 16th).

"I'm disappointed with the equaliser, as the team were, because you've got to see that out. Maybe in the first six months we would of drawn that game and maybe even lost it, but we showed the resilience and the character that is in this group. Roared on by the supporters, it was great for us. The young kid up in the box, pushing hard to try and get something from the game and he gets his reward and gets the penalty. A brilliant victory for us in terms of the points, the character. This is a tournament that is about winning games and we won our first game."

"Tonight was about perseverance, if I was to describe the team that is what it is. It's an attribute you've got to have, especially at the highest level. We just persisted, we kept going, we kept working and we kept pushing. The whole ground really appreciated it."
