Saturday, July 26 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Two of Canada's best athletics hopes in Glasgow, Derek Drouin and Brianne Theisen-Eaton, speak on Friday (25th July), ahead of their Commonwealth Games efforts on the track.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Brianne Theisen-Eaton, Canadian heptathlete
(on if it's a benefit competing in an event similar to the Olympics as preparation for Rio de Janeiro):

"I think it's definitely an advantage. Being in a village situation once every four years you kind of forget. It is a good stepping stone as far as the preparation and remembering how these big meets work so I think the Commonwealth has a little bit of an advantage going into Rio."
