Walsall vs Millwall - Scott Laird back in the Saddlers squad

Walsall have Scott Laird available again when Millwall visit the Banks's Stadium.

The left-back, on loan from Scunthorpe, was ineligible against his parent club on Tuesday night and could be restored to the starting line-up after the Saddlers conceded four goals in his absence.

Joe Edwards is set to complete the three-match suspension he picked up for being sent off against Bolton.

Reece Flanagan and Rory Oliver are long-term absentees for Walsall boss Jon Whitney.

Millwall are hoping Shaun Cummings can overcome his hamstring problem to return to action for the trip, having eased back into training last week.

Youngster Kris Twardek continues to step up his return to training after a broken toe so could come into contention.

Defender Sid Nelson was fit enough to take a place on the bench as an unused substitute in midweek, so he will be aiming to force his way into the starting line-up.

The Lions will still be without striker Aiden O'Brien, however, with the 22-year-old missing through knee trouble and not expected back in action until the end of October.
