Clyde vs Elgin City - Ferguson waiting on duo ahead of first leg against Elgin

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson has delayed naming his side to face Elgin in the first leg of their Ladbrokes League One play-off semi-final as he waits on Mark McLaughlin and John Gemmell.

The duo limped off during Saturday's 3-1 win over Stirling on the final day of the regular Ladbrokes League Two season.

Knee injuries have already ruled out Brian McQueen, Jon-Paul McGovern and Scott Ferguson while Sean Higgins is sidelined with a groin problem and Scott Durie is unlikely to play.

Ferguson said: "We only have a small squad so we could do with having both Mark and John available. Elgin will be a tough test but if we play in the same manner we did against Stirling then we will do well."

Elgin add the fit again Sam Dryden to their squad but Darryl McHardy is unavailable.

The visitors scored seven goals in their last two games of the season to clinch second spot and home advantage for the second leg, and manager Jim Weir insisted his side will not alter their style for the play-offs.

He said: "We secured second place in the table by attacking teams and there is no reason to change how we play. We will look to take the game to Clyde when we can.

"There was very little between the teams all season and whatever happens in this game the outcome of this tie will be decided in the second game at our place on Saturday."
