Augsburg star Baba Rahman is keen on a move to Chelsea according to his agent Sascha Empacher, reports the Metro.

The Blues have apparently made a £18 million bid for the 21-year-old, and his representative is urging the Bundesliga side to take the money. During the last campaign the youngster made 31 appearances in the German top flight, and made several impressive displays.

“Chelsea made an attractive offer,” said Empacher, “It is Baba’s dream to play for a top club. He would like to take this opportunity.”

Jose Mourinho is interested in the defender after letting Filipe Luis return to his former club Atletico Madrid. Although Cesar Azpilicueta is likely start at left-back in the coming season he will still need a back up.

However, the Stamford Bridge outfit’s defensive reinforcements might not end there. They are also interested in a move for Everton ace John Stones, and are preparing a £30 million move according to the Daily Mail.

The Blues have already seen £20 million and £26 million offers rejected for the 21-year-old, and will be hoping their next bid will finally be accepted. The youngster could be seen as John Terry’s successor at the London outfit, with the former England captain not getting any younger at 34-years-old.

Stones is a regular at Goodison Park, making 31 appearances last season despite several injuries. As such it may be difficult to entice the player away from the Toffees. Not only this, but they will also have to fight off Manchester United for his signature.
